13 Chrome L80 (UNS S42000) is a quenched and tempered martensitic stainless steel that delivers reliable corrosion resistance in sweet CO₂ and mildly sour H₂S environments up to 300°F, offering controlled yield strength and hardness to meet API 5CT and NACE MR0175 standards. It is ideal for oilfield applications such as downhole tubulars and packers where moderate corrosion, chloride content, and temperature are expected, but its use may be limited in more aggressive sour service or high-chloride conditions according to NACE/ISO 15156 guidelines VAM TOP® HC™ is a derivative connection of VAM TOP®. VAM TOP® HC™ (High Compression) is a Threaded & Coupled (T&C) premium connection which has been designed with the main features of the VAM TOP® product line. VAM TOP® and VAM TOP® HC™ are interchangeable. VAM TOP® HC™ product lines benefit from the most reliable performances, demonstrated through a large number of qualification tests such as ISO13679 CAL-IV with up to 100% PBYS compression rating.
